Forest River's Wildcat and Evo travel trailers and its fifth-wheel brands, with published hitch weights, UVW, CCC and lengths from forestriverinc.com.
Forest River builds dozens of RV brands. Here we focus on the two travel trailer lines our High Level store lists, Wildcat and Evo, and give an overview of Forest River's fifth-wheel brands. All weights are Forest River's published figures, checked October 25, 2026. Every Forest River unit is weighed at the factory and carries its own label, and the label is the number that counts.

For winter, the 2027 Wildcat Maxx 249RKX page lists a Climatech Maxx insulation package. It includes:
- a fully enclosed underbelly
- 12-volt heat pads on all holding tanks
- heated outside storage
- a 30,000 BTU ducted furnace
- a 60,000 BTU tankless water heater with active freeze protection
Canadian Z-240 certification is listed as an option, so ask whether a given unit has it.
Evo travel trailers
Evo is Forest River's lighter travel trailer line. For example, the 2026 Evo 178BHS lists:
- 570 lb hitch weight
- 5,670 lb GVWR
- 4,182 lb UVW
- 1,488 lb CCC
- 22' 11" length and 90" width

Some dealer listings use other names for Evo units. If a listing's name doesn't match Forest River's site, ask for the VIN and the model-year brochure so you can compare the right weights.

Forest River's fifth-wheel brands include:

Notice how much higher the pin weights are than the travel trailer hitch weights above. That weight sits in your truck's box, which is why fifth wheels usually need a bigger truck (see Matching RV weight to your tow vehicle).
